RAM *

256+ Mb

HDD space **

10+ Gb, SATA/IDE UDMA

Recommendations

We recommend using mainboards built on Intel 945 and Intel 965 chipsets, and network interfaces 3Com905, Realtek 8139C+, Intel E100.

Notes

nVidia chipsets and AMD64 CPUs are the frequent causes of incompatibilities.
For SATA disks, turn on the IDE LEGACY mode in BIOS.

* Depending on the number of users (or more precisely, depending on the number of concurrent connections established with the server), you may need to increase the amount of RAM. We recommend putting in 256 more megabytes of RAM for every 100 users (concurrent connections) extra.

** Depending on the traffic volume and lifetimes of the detailed (source-destination) statistics, you may need to increase the available disk space. For instance, 100 Gb of traffic generate approximately 3 Gb of detailed statistics. At the same time, the volume of the basic statistics will increase insignificantly.

Additional Notes

No additional software is required to install and run Ideco Gateway. When you install Ideco Gateway from a compact disk, the operating system and all the required components are installed automatically.

Connecting end-user computers also does not require any special software or drivers. The process uses standard drivers of Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
